Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri

Community Partnership is a multi-service agency that provides direct client services to improve lives of community members. Agency works to meet a wide range of needs through many programs:

Community Case Management provides an individualized approach to housing services. Clients are matched with a case manager to determine eligibility for available housing programs. Assistance is also provided for varying needs of day-to-day life, such as obtaining birth certificates and identification, transportation, utilities, and prescriptions.

NeighborHUB program offers a place for the homeless to fulfill basic needs such as laundry, showers and meals. Also works to guide NeighborHUB patrons toward safety and sufficiency. Will serve as a cooling and warming center during inclement weather.

Thrive Initiative focuses on the development of positive assets in at-risk youth. Through mentoring, group meetings, and events, youth learn the 40 developmental assets necessary to succeed.

EDGE (Empowering Dads & Moms To Gain Employment) partners with the MO Family Support Division to help non-custodial parents obtain employment and pay child support. Each EDGE participant works with a case manager to create an individualized plan to promote success. Also assists with skills development such as resume building, drafting sample applications, developing interview skills, and following up with employers.

Missouri Mentoring Partnership (MMP) helps support young mothers and fathers up to age 26 who are pregnant or parenting and reside in Cape Girardeau County. The goal of the Young Parent Program is to prevent repeat, unplanned pregnancies while increasing parenting skills, immunizations, and promoting education. MMP participants learn about the basics of childcare and development and participate in group activities and earn “baby bucks” used to purchase supplies in the Baby Store.

Every Day Dad (EDD) empowers low-income, non-custodial dads to succeed through resources, workshops, and mentoring. Each participant receives individualized support and access to a community of fathers to offer support and kinship.

SkillUp program assists individuals receiving Food Stamp benefits (SNAP) ages 16-59. Program helps participants “SkillUp” through the pursuit of educational and employment goals.

Agency also provides community-wide planning and strategic use of resources to address homelessness and produces the Point-in-Time count. Also provides three monthly calendars of activities for seniors and families. Visit the website at http://www.cpsemo.org
