Bollinger County Health Department

Public health center offering services that include vital records, WIC, environmental services, immunizations, and disaster and emergency preparedness. Also offers the Safe Crib program that supplies pack-and-plays to women who are pregnant or who have an infant up to 3 months old. Must have Medicaid, be a WIC participant or live below federal poverty guidelines. Center is also a provider for the Show Me Healthy Women program that provides free mammograms and Pap smears for women age 35 and older who meet guidelines.  Participants in Show Me Healthy Women program are also eligible for the Wise Woman program that provides free cardiovascular and diabetes screenings and lifestyle education for low income women ages 35 and older to help reduce their risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Other health services include cholesterol checks, blood pressure checks, tuberculin test, A1C and glucose level checks, lead tests, pregnancy tests and STD/HIV testing.
