Provides sports and leisure activities, programs and facilities that improve the quality of life and benefit the economy of the community. Offers a wide variety of classes and programs, leagues and tournaments, holiday festivals and family friendly events to the public. Information on city park shelters and rental information available. Facilities include Osage Centre, Cape Splash Water Park, A.C. Brase Arena Building, Central Municipal Pool, Jaycee Municipal Golf Course, Shawnee Park and the SportsPlex. Facilities can also be used as cooling and warming centers during inclement weather. Also maintains cemeteries.
