Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri
Community Partnership (CPSemo) is a multi-service agency that provides direct client services to improve the lives of those in their service area. Agency also serves as fiscal agent for various community grants and committees. For the counties of Cape Girardeau, Perry and Bollinger, the agency administers various housing grants to provide rent and deposit to help residents obtain safe affordable housing. Some financial assistance is available for electric bills, rent, water bills and transportation. Other programs include:
Every Day Dad (EDD) – works with low income, non-custodial fathers to strengthen families. Fathers are provided community resources, workshops and mentoring.
Missouri Mentoring Partnership (MMP) – works with young mothers and fathers up to age 26 who are pregnant and/or parenting with the goal of preventing unplanned pregnancies. Also works to increase parenting skills, infant health and promote education.
Empowering Dads to Gain Employment (EDGE) – works with non-custodial fathers and mothers with child support cases. Program helps participants understand their child support case and works to remove barriers to employment and education.
SkillUp – assists individuals ages 16-59 who receive Food Stamps with job skills training, education and employer connections to obtain employment.
NeighborHUB – is a day center for those experiencing homelessness. Services include free shower facilities, free laundry facilities, personal hygiene supplies and food. Participants will be connected to a housing case manager and offered any services they qualify for at CPSemo or any other community agency.
Thrive Birth to Five – Program works to train childcare providers that care for children birth to age 5. Training is available for the home-based network and the center network. Also has a Parent Advisory Council that teaches parents to advocate for their children.
Preparing Area Veterans for Employment (PAVE) – works to help veterans experiencing homelessness get connected to gainful employment opportunities based on their skill levels and desired career paths.
SSI/SSDI Outreach Access and Recovery (SOAR) is a national program designed to increase access to disability income benefit programs for eligible adults and children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder.
Community Health Worker – works to help clients understand and manage health issues and the health care system. Can also connect patients with specific community resources to help obtain prescriptions.
Reaching Independence through Support and Education (RISE) – works to help individuals overcome the challenges that have kept them living paycheck to paycheck. Participants are encouraged to commit to 24 months of classes, coaching and growth to reach self-sufficiency.
ReEntry Program is a voluntary program to assist adult offenders reentering society. Participants will have the opportunity for employment and higher education. Participants will also be connected with any other community resources to help them succeed.
Liberty Apartments and Lindenwood Senior Apartments – are owned by Community Partnership and provide affordable housing and connections to community services.
YouthBuild offers job training, education, and community projects for individuals age 16-24.
Community Partnership can also help participants obtain social security cards, birth certificates and identification. Agency will also allow those that are homeless use the agency address to apply for food stamps and other services. Agency is a member of the Missouri Balance of State Continuum of Care that works to end homelessness and conducts the Point In Time count each year to count and report the number of homeless individuals in the coverage area.
