Foster Grandparent Program
Foster grandparents are mentors that are assigned to schools, day cares or other settings where there are children. Foster grandparents work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week in Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, Fisk, East Prairie and Charleston. Assistance is provided to both teachers and students. One-on-one and small group assistance is provided for students who are struggling with school assignments with a focus on reading and math. Volunteers are age 55 and over.
