Missouri Department of Social Services

The Department of Social Services has four divisions providing services to families and youth. The Children’s Division is responsible for the administration of child welfare services including child abuse and neglect, foster care and adoption. The Family Support Division helps families with food stamp benefits, health care, child support, blind services, energy assistance and child care assistance. Missouri HealthNet Division administers health care coverage for eligible Missourians. Division of Youth Services offers care & treatment to youth committed to Division of Youth Services custody.
