Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) specializes in employment and training services that can assist a person in becoming employed. To be eligible, a person must have a physical or mental impairment that limits the ability to find, keep or advance in a job. A VR counselor will determine eligibility for services. Once eligible, a person will work with a counselor who will help develop a plan for rehabilitation. Some of the services that may be available are:
Guidance and Counseling, Job-Seeking Skills and Job Placement and Vocational Training. VR also provides assistance with Transition Services, Supported Employment Services, Rehabilitation Technology Services and the Ticket to Work Program.
The Cape Girardeau Vocational Rehabilitation office covers eight counties including Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Scott, Stoddard, Mississippi, New Madrid, Dunklin, and Pemiscot.
Perry County is covered by the Farmington Vocational Rehabilitation office, 901 Progress Drive, Suite 100, Farmington.
