Regional Healthcare Foundation

Agency provides multiple healthcare related services.  A prescription drug assistance program is provided to those who are without prescription drug coverage or have a high Medicaid spenddown. Limited funds are also available to assist low-income Stoddard County residents with various health needs. Vendors or professionals providing the services must be located in Stoddard County.

Mother-to-Mother program matches experienced mothers with pregnant or parenting young women in Stoddard County. Program is a four-phase, incentive-based mentoring program that supports pregnant or parenting young women. The program offers incentives for mothers to earn baby supplies, equipment, and clothing; introduces participants to additional services in the community; offers encouragement and advice while participants continue their education and obtain employment; and offers regularly scheduled activities that promote participants’ parenting and social skills.  Participants must be 21 years old or younger, currently pregnant or has a child under one year of age, has or is working toward obtaining a high school diploma or HiSET certificate and have no legal issues.

Bootheel Babies and Families is an Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative working toward decreasing infant deaths in Stoddard County as well as other counties in the bootheel. Focus areas are safe sleep, substance misuse, pre and post natal care.

MPOWER Chronic Disease Self Management Course is a six-week program designed to assist in developing a self-management program. It is for caregivers or people living with Arthritis, Asthma, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Heart disease, Diabetes, COPD, Emphysema and other chronic conditions. Topics include: Managing symptoms, stress, and fatigue; Nutrition and exercise; Dealing with difficult emotions; Effective problem solving; Forming a partnership with your healthcare team and more. Classes are offered in 13 bootheel county health departments.
