Nonprofit organization providing services to the homeless in the city of Cape Girardeau. Agency cannot assist people from out of town. Services are for Cape Girardeau residents sleeping outdoors, in a box, vehicle, storage shed or in another structure not fit for human habitation and for which there is no lease. Agency provides tents and heavy duty plastic bags as needed. Will only replace tents every 6 months. Agency also tries to provide weather appropriate clothing and personal hygiene supplies as available. Food is provided at the pavilions at Ranney Park, Indian Park, Capaha Park and Arena Park on Sundays and Wednesdays. Distribution begins at 12:30 and goes to each park until the food is gone. Hotel vouchers are provided during inclement weather. During the winter vouchers will be provided if the overnight temperature is 26 degrees or below. No illegal activity allowed.
