United for Childcare is a community-based childcare resource center and AmeriCorps program serving Southeast Missouri. The center helps families find childcare that works for them, support providers as they grow and sustain quality care, and partner with employers to strengthen the local workforce. United We Work program is designed to help employees overcome obstacles to employment and self-sufficiency. Transportation is provided for job interviews, training and employment. Read To Succeed is a volunteer based literacy program that serves Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in the Cape Girardeau Public Schools. Program works in the school with students identified by teachers to increase reading skills to ensure students read at grade level.
